What Caster sends
While you are actively casting, Caster sends the part of the screen you selected, and app audio only if you enable it, through an encrypted LiveKit real-time connection to the television you approved. The Caster website does not record or store screen or audio content.
Temporary pairing information
The website temporarily processes a six-digit pairing code, device names, random security tokens and connection state. These records expire after no more than ten minutes. Your IP address may be processed for abuse prevention and may also appear in standard Hostinger server logs.
On your device
The app keeps a low-quality latest-frame preview in its private shared app container only while needed for the crop preview. It is removed when casting ends or when the app next starts. Camera or audio access is used only when you explicitly choose a feature that needs it.
Accounts, advertising and analytics
Caster does not currently require an account, use advertising trackers or run behavioural analytics. The website uses essential technical storage only where WordPress and the security service require it.
Your control
A television must approve the named phone or iPad before the service releases permission to publish. You can stop the broadcast at any time using Caster or Apple's screen-broadcast controls.
